This project is located in the Blue Ridge
mountains in Western North Carolina and involved the rebuilding
of the existing 1920s church building which was destroyed in a
fire.
The semi-circular seating arrangement
accommodates contemporary collective worship and the flexible
chancel and choir areas allow for a variety of uses while
maintaining a dignified worship setting. As the church’s design
consultant for this contemporary facility, Terry Byrd Eason
Design was responsible for design of all chancel furnishings as
well as providing lighting design services, and consultation on
the building’s overall design and interior arrangement.
